How I Work With Participants
My approach to harassment and discrimination prevention training involves a high-energy delivery and appropriate interaction. The training is not "silly" nor is it patronizing. I engage the participants in a collective sense of humor, recognizing that we learn better when we are relaxed and comfortable. I respect and validate each individual in the classroom.
This kind of training can expose employers to legal liability when proper safeguards are not in place. To avoid these problems, I impose rigorous protocols that ensure the protection of the client. Such a carefully crafted environment allows participants to relax, to participate, to ask questions, and to walk away satisfied that their time has been well spent.
