Carol is the Director of The Training Design Studio (TDS). She is a lawyer and training consultant who delivers high-energy, interactive training in the areas of harassment and discrimination prevention, ethics, workplace investigations, professionalism and management training. She has trained for a wide variety of client companies: law firms, pharmaceuticals, financial services, bio-medical, media, technology and manfacturing. She has led extremely large training initiatives in Fortune Five companies.

TDS provides leader-led training as well as training via web-cast. Carol has been responsible for the training of over 250,000 partners, executives, managers and employees at all levels, including much work in the union environment. She has extensive experience providing specially tailored training for partners, executives and managers, including one-on-one training for partners and executives in the area of harassment and discrimination prevention.

Ms. Merchasin is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and a regular speaker at both regional and national SHRM conferences, where she has frequently been ranked in the top ten. She is a published author on the legal issues related to harassment training; the second edition of her book, Case Dismissed! Taking Your Harassment Training to Trial, was published by the ABA in June 2005. In addition, she is currently at work on a second book, on Professionalism
